The larger Battlebots head - 10mm mild steel plate with 20mm silver steel spike.
A selection of our axes. From left to right:
- Temporary axe I quickly made up for the Sevenoaks charity event.
- Robot Wars UK Series 3. You can see the kink I put in the shaft when testing it in the carpark - the counterweight was not big enough, KHz took off when the axe fired and the shaft hit the bump stop before hitting the gound. Rex Garrod kindly welded some plates on it at the studios to stengthen it.
- Battlebots Las Vegas. The head on this one started out as in the above picture. We discovered it was too heavy however, giving the same take-off problem, so Arthur from team Mortis cut it down for us.
- Battlebots Long Beach. Never used in anger, which is probably why it's still straight! On this one you can see the patch where we cut it in half to get it out to California. Rather than cut it up again to get it back, Dominic buried it in the desert outside Las Vegas and we picked it up when we returned there in November!
