Redesigning the steering so that it's more robust, yet still protects the servos. Will be making a torque limiting clutch to fit on top of the servos and have the servo feedback pot removed from the servo and mounted on top of the front wheels. Using steel reinforced timing belts, rather than fishing line, to connect servos to front wheels.

Pot is in the white plastic casing. You can also see the 4 transistors that make up the H bridge for controlling the servo.

Pot removed. Need to extend the three wires out of the case to the front wheel.

Nice chunky gears! Surprised they're mainly plastic. Need to remove the stop from the output gear (large plastic gear far left) to allow the servo to spin freely when the clutch slips.
